well... we are definitely blessed. :)

So, my husband is coming home because he needs knee surgery. Fortunately he wasn't injured in combat or anything like that. He has been walking around with a ruptured acl for over a year now and apparently the Afghan terrain and carrying around an 80lb pack on his back and hopping in and out of vehicles made his knee a lot worse (surprise surprise). The doctor basically told him he doesn't have a choice. He is coming home and I am so happy. This deployment has gone a lot better than I thought it would. The downside is that I don't have much time left to get my house in order like I wanted, and I'm running out of time to get all this pregnancy weight off of me. But I can keep working out and cleaning and organizing when my husband is home so its really a win win situation. I just wanted to surprise him by getting into awesome shape while he was gone. I have lost about 10lbs since he left though so hopefully he will notice that. =) and now he will be home so I can ask him what something is and throw it away or not. Thats awesome. We have a lot of stuff that I don't know if its important or not and he would so it will be great if he is here for me to ask him before I get rid of it... lol. I have enjoyed this blogging experience, although I didn't get to use it as much as I would have liked. It has been a nice outlet when I was able to use it though. who knows, I may start a new blog. :)

ahh the new year.

I am really excited about this year. A lot of fabulous things are going to happen this year. First, my son turns 4 this month. I can hardly believe that. He is growing into such a wonderful young man. I am so very proud of him. :) and to help make his birthday grand, my Mom is supposed to come visit. :) then, hopefully we'll be getting a nice tax refund check to help us reach our goal of getting out of debt. After that I am hoping Kent will be home... hopefully sometime in April right before our daughter's first birthday. Nothing is set in stone yet, but we should hopefully find out this next week when to expect him. I won't be posting any specific dates for OPSEC reasons but I'm sure you understand that. I was able to skype with my husband this morning, and that was awesome. Its always so great to be able to see his handsome face. I really do miss him so much. After he had to go, my son came to the computer and asked if he could talk to daddy again. It was so sweet and it just broke my heart to tell him that no we couldn't. :(
In September Kent and I will celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. I'm really excited about that. God has truly blessed us. If you know our story you'll understand why I say that. Sometime I'll post about that but not tonight. Its all ready getting late and I'm once again going to fail my attempt to get to bed at an earlier hour. ah oh well.
